Woman shoots at repo man
Police arrested two people on charges of aggravated assault Thursday after a routine repo job went wrong.
Brookhaven Police Chief Bobby Bell said Justin Hall, 36, attempted to repossess a car at 2457 Grant Road shortly before 2:20 p.m.
He did not have paperwork for the job, Bell said, so Constance Adams, 24, grabbed a handgun and tried to stop him.
“She stood between the car and the truck he was driving,” Bell said. “He backed into her. She discharged the firearm at him.”
Bell said Adams’ was struck in the legs by the truck. Hall was not hit.
Both were charged with aggravated assault and taken to Lincoln County jail.
Adams was also charged with possession of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm as well as possession of marijuana, less than one ounce.
Bell said Adams refused medical treatment.
