Funeral services for Luther Shelton McRaney of Sontag are Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Shiloh Baptist Church. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at the church from 4 p.m. until time of services.

Mr. McRaney, 69, died Saturday, June 18, 2016, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born July 5, 1946, to Ellis and Inez McRaney.

He was retired from the oilfield as a mechanic and served in the Navy during Vietnam. Mr. McRaney enjoyed hunting, fishing and any outdoor activity.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Roy McRaney; daughter, Louise McRaney Barham; grandson, Anthony Little Jr.; and sister-in-law, Sharon McRaney.

Survivors are his wife, Linda McRaney; daughters, Beverly McRaney Bridges and husband, Shane, Melinda McRaney Jackson and husband, Bert and Darlene Welch; stepdaughter, Robbie Little and husband, Anthony; brother, Harold McRaney; sister, Mary Archer and husband, Tony; stepson, Toby Reynolds; seven grandchildren, Aileen Allen and husband, Richie, Amber Roberts and husband, Damon, Tanner Jackson, Gauge Herring, Reagan Herring and Ainsley Bridges; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
