Brookhaven police investigated shots heard by a caller on Jackson Street Wednesday around 4:30 p.m., Chief Bobby Bell said.

A witness told police it sounded like the shots came from the woodline on Mills Street, he said.

Another witness said they saw a vehicle leave Rogers Circle “going fast,” he said.

Police were not able to locate a suspect.
