Funeral services for C M Terry are 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial to follow at Heucks Retreat Baptist Church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Brookhaven Funeral Home.
Mr. Terry was born June 27, 1924, to Grover Cleveland and Maggie Coker Terry.
He was a longtime member of Brookhaven First Baptist Church and the Cecil Rhodes Sunday school class.
Terry was a U.S. Army World War II veteran. He suffered injuries from enemy fire defending his family and country. He was a Mason, Eastern Star and Shriner.
He was a beloved and dedicated husband, father and grandfather, leaving a legacy of faith, Christian values, hard work and dedication to family.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife of 54 years, Reba Terry; wife of 18 years, Dorothy Lofton Terry; brother, James L Terry; and sisters Vivian Case and Johnnie Hansen.
Survivors are his daughters; Judy Teny, of San Antonio, Texas, and Sandra Gerald and husband, Charles, of Brookhaven; sisters, June Rushing, of Brookhaven, and Margaret Woods of Moultrie, Alabama; his grandchildren, Clint Gerald and wife Karla, of Brookhaven, Terri G. Lowery and husband Tony, of Sumrall; four great-grandchildren, Megan and Tucker Gerald, of Brookhaven, and Tyler and Alexis Lowery, of Sumrall; step-son Monroe Lofton and wife, Lynda, of Sumrall; step-daughter, Hilda Stephens, of Star; four step-grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church building fund.
