James ‘Jimmy’ Kerry Nations

Funeral services for James “Jimmy” Kerry Nations, of Brookhaven, are Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with interment in Fair River Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of services at Riverwood.

Mr. Nations, 80, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at his residence. He was born April 24, 1936, to James Melvin Nations and Hilda “Peggy” Maureen Waldrop Nations.

Mr. Nations was a member of Fair River Baptist Church.  He was a graduate of Mississippi College and spent his career as an accountant and human resource manager. His avocation was his family and he was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Melvin and Peggy Nations; and one sister, Chris Nations Koonsman.

Survivors are his wife, Judy A. Nations; sons, James “Kerry” Nations and wife, Janet, and Robin Dwayne Nations, M.D., and wife, Cindy; four grandchildren, Christopher Cameron Nations and wife, Carly, Jessica Shelby Nations, Caroline Suzanne Nations and Robin Grace Nations; nephew, Jim Ponder and wife, Shelby; and nieces, Shirley Craig, Nanette Bivens and husband, Paul, and Stephanie Dunn and husband, Ed.

Memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Foreign Mission Offering at Fair River Baptist Church, 3683 Fair River Drive, Brookhaven, MS 39601.
