Funeral Services for Charles E. Sandifer Sr., of Brookhaven, Monday, Aug. 1, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church with burial at the church cemetery.

Visitation is today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service and Monday, Aug. 1, 2016, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church.

Mr. Sandifer died July 29, 2016, at his residence. He was born on July 28, 1930, to Ewing D. Sandifer, Sr. and Pearlie Mae Bryant Sandifer.

Sandifer was retired from Mississippi Department of Transporation as a civil engineer. He was a member of Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Donald Allen Sandifer; daughter, Sheryl Belinda Sandifer Parent; brothers, E.D. Sandifer Jr., W.P. Sandifer, John Sandifer; and sister, Ruby Nell Berry.

Survivors are his son, Charles Sandifer Jr. and wife Nina; daughter, Gail Sandifer Gray and husband Ricky; brothers, Gary Sandifer and wife Grace, Maxie D. Sandifer and wife Clara; sister, Julia P. Sandifer; son-in-law, L.J. Parent; daughter-in-law, Winnie Sandifer; eight grandchildren, Erin Parent, Joey Parent and wife Amber, Meagan Bermous and husband Roman, Jamie Sandifer and wife Nikki, Emily Busby and husband Derrick, Brandy Campbell and husband Chris, John Gray and Mary Katharine Gray; seven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Carroll Allen and wife Dianne; sisters-in-law, Winifred Hamilton and husband J.J., Ovia “Doodle” Sandifer, Betty Sandifer, Shirley Sandifer; and special friends and caregivers, Phyllis Francis and husband Jimmy and Lisa Brown and husband Bill.
