Photo submitted/Brookhaven Academy seventh grade outfielder Emily Claire Felder has performed well in her first varsity action. Through two games she has four hits in eight appearances at the plate and is currently batting .571. Felder has four singles on the year. Felder also has handled pitching duties for the junior varsity team and has eight strikeouts, no walks, two hits and no earned runs scored through six innings of work. Brookhaven Academy’s next game is Thursday at 5 p.m. The Cougars will face Copiah Academy at home in their third game of the season. The Cougars are currently 0-2 on the year.
