It took a little sleuthing on the part of the audience, but by the end of the night the mystery was solved.

Brookhaven Little Theatre volunteers and actors revealed the list of productions for the new season using musical and theatrical clues throughout its annual membership drive Saturday.

The party turned out to be a huge success for the community with more than 200 people in attendance, BLT board member Emily Waterloo said.

“We had five times the amount of people that we usually do,” Waterloo said. “Everyone was really excited. People loved the idea of suspense during the reveal.”

The five productions revealed at the party are:

• “A Christmas Carol” — Dec. 2-4 and Dec. 9-11

In addition its the major productions, BLT will host an array of other events throughout the year including,

The upcoming season is sure to be the best one yet with four major productions and a host of other events based on the interest shown at the party, Waterloo said.

“Overall, the night was phenomenal,” she said. “It was the best membership party ever. Everybody laughed, had a good time and reminisced about last season. We sold over 120 memberships alone Saturday.”

Despite selling the most season memberships ever at one time, there are some still available, she said.

“We’ve added an outdoor information holder to our ticket window where people can find brochures with all they need to know about our events,” Waterloo said.

Season ticket holders will also have the benefit of choosing where they would like to sit during each production this year, Waterloo said.
