Graveside services for Helen Price Nix, of Crystal Springs, are today, Jan. 10, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven. Rev. Greg Warnock will officiate. Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be today, Jan. 10, 2017, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nix, 90, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at King’s Daughters Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born Sept. 14, 1926, in Crystal Springs, to Howard Marshall Price and Maude Ellen Smith Price. She enjoyed working on word puzzles and spending time with her family, especially at any sporting events they were involved in. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband of 55 years, Guy Harris Nix Jr.; and sisters, Evelyn Ross, Edith Stephens, LaVonne Luna and Jean Wright.

Survivors are her sons, Guy Harris Nix III and wife Debbie, of Brookhaven, and Gary Nix and wife Kathy, of Brookhaven; grandchildren, Ryan Nix, Amanda Nix Flathers and husband Greg, Lauren Nix Bourland and husband Russell, and Guy Harris Nix IV and wife Neelie; step-grandchild, Candie Copeland and husband Donnie; great-grandchildren, Isabella Flathers, Geoff Flathers, Alyssa Flathers, Brett Bourland, and Jaylea Nix; step-grandchild, Erica Copeland; sisters, Jane P. Nutt and husband William, of Madison, Grace Parnell, of Nashville, Tennessee, Martha Price, of Brookhaven, and Margaret Price, also of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
