The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Lady Wolves softball team will honor the military during their home opener against the Mississippi Delta Lady Trojans on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Admission to all veterans is free and there will be a short ceremony between games to honor the men and women who have served and are currently serving in the military.

“It is always an honor for Co-Lin to recognize the military community in whatever method we can and has become somewhat a tradition for us to regularly do something with that intent,” said Dr. Tim Lea, director of veteran services. “The Lady Wolves softball team continues this tradition in their own special way with the observance they will hold between the games that day.”

The Lady Wolves will wear special camouflage jerseys in both games in honor of the event.

“We are excited to work with Dr. Tim Lea in honoring all the men and women who have served and currently serving our great country,” said Lady Wolves head coach Allen Kent. “These men and women have served selflessly and have made many sacrifices. We are all really looking forward to it.”
