Graveside services for Wayne Herman Allred, of Smithdale, are Saturday, March 11, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in McCall Creek. Bro. Timothy Allred will officiate. Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be today, March 10, 2017, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Allred, 67, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was born Oct. 18, 1949, in Summit to Mearl and Ammie Wilkinson Allred. He was of the Baptist faith and served his country in the US Air Force. He worked for many years in the oilfield where he retired as a tool pusher and enjoyed fishing and working outside in his yard. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his sons, Jeff Allred and wife Melissa, of Switzer, West Virginia, and Colby Allred of Richton; daughters, Gwen Allred Helms and husband Mike, of Hamilton, Alabama and Cady Allred Howard, of Richton; sisters, Ouida Allred Madison, Betty Allred Hill and Carolyn Allred Moak; brother, Glen Allred and wife Marcia; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers are Mike Helms, Herman Moak, Brad Moak, Curtis Woodward, Dewayne Hill and Garrett Anders.
