Funeral services for John Edward “Jigg” Turner Sr., of Bogue Chitto, are Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 2 p.m. at New Lion Union M.B. Church in Bogue Chitto with burial at Faith M.B. Church Cemetery. Williams Mortuary in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday, March 17, 2017, from 1 to 7 p.m. with family hour from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Turner, 73, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at King’s Daughters Medical center in Brookhaven. He was born Oct. 12, 1943, in Summit, to Elzy Turner and Drusilla McNulty Turner.

Survivors are his six sons, John Turner Jr. (Gwen), of Greenwood, Robert Turner, James Turner, Willie Johnson, Anthony Johnson (Felicia), all of Fort Worth, Texas, and Tom Green, of Fort worth, Texas; four daughters, Kathy Green (Konrad), of Brookhaven, Texas, Gloria Billings and Courtney Smith, of McComb, and Dee Geona Turner, of New Orleans, Louisiana; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, John Paul Turner, Thomas Turner, Benton Turner and Willie Ray Turner; sisters, Betty Louise Martin, Martha Wells, Shirley Ezell, Ethel Redd, and Lillie Cameron.
