Funeral services for Jewell Louise Lea Davis, of Brookhaven, are Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be today, March 24, 2017, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis, 78, died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven with her loving family at her side. She was born Oct. 10, 1938, to Floyd Lea and Alma Coleman Lea. She loved fishing, working in flower beds, cooking, giving orders, gardening and being part of the garden club and also bingo club at Monterey. She was a member of Bougere Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Linda Ann Davis Jordan; brothers, Coleman Lea and Denver Lea; and daughter-in-law, Lydia Marie Fuller Davis.

Survivors are her husband of 61 years, Jimmie Larry Davis Sr.; sons, Jimmie Larry Davis Jr., Willie Earl Davis and Darrell Wayne Davis; six grandchildren, Jimmie Geneal Davis, Angie Marie Davis, Amanda Hope May, Heather Suzanne Friis, John Benjamin Rowley and Sarah Louise Kitchens; seven great- grandchildren, Isabella Hope May, Elizabeth Ann May, Josiah Allen May, Evangeline Grace May, Aidan Thomas Friis, Annlee Louise Kitchens and Wilson Douglas Kitchens.
