“This was a total team effort offensively and defensively tonight,“ BA head coach Tyler Parvin said after the game. “We can compete every night out if we play at this level consistently.”

Spring picked up the win for the Cougars pitching five and a third innings, giving up just one run on five hits while striking out seven Green Wave batters in his evening of work.

“Brady (Spring) had a great outing for us tonight,” Parvin said. “He stepped up when we needed some innings out of him and did a fantastic job.”

Caden Poole took the loss for Cathedral on the mound.

Brookhaven Academy will complete the home and home series at Cathedral on Friday night.  JV first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. followed by varsity action at 7 p.m.
