Canadian National has closed two crossings downtown for crews to work on the railroad tracks, while Brookhaven closed a road to allow for debris cleanup.

Brookhaven Public Works Director Keith Lewis said the crossings at Chickasaw Street and Railroad Avenue and at East Monticello Street and Railroad Avenue will be closed today to allow for repairs. The Chickaswaw Street crossing could be open by 4 p.m. He does not know when East Monticello’s crossing will reopen.

Lewis said the city closed Honeysuckle Drive between Old Brook Road Northeast and South Second Street for debris cleanup from recent storms. He expects Honeysuckle to be closed for several days.
