Funeral services for Rachel Ruth King Eitel, of Brookhaven, are Saturday, April 15, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial at Gum Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven. Bro. David Fortenberry will officiate the services.

Visitation will be today, April 14, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Saturday, April 15, 2017, from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Eitel, 83, died Thursday, April 13, 2017, at the Silver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven. She was born April 13, 1934, in Brookhaven, to Floyd and Delia Smith King. She was a member of Gum Grove Baptist Church. She was a retired seamstress from Auburn Sportswear in Brookhaven. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, knitting and spending time with her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, James A. Eitel; and granddaughter, Cheyene Lacota Prather.

Survivors are her daughter, Matilda Eitel and husband Kary Prather, of Crystal Springs; grandchildren, Andy Eitel and Siera Prather; sisters, Bernice King and Mary Dell Moak; and a host of family and friends.
