Phillip Strong Parker Sr.

Phillip Strong Parker Sr., 80, of Roswell, Georgia, died Sunday, March 25, 2017. 

Mr. Parker was born in Derma to Ella Gertrude and Henry Strong Parker on Jan. 16, 1937.  He graduated from Brookhaven High School in 1954.  He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1958.  He owned and operated an automotive franchise for the last 25 years of his career.  He completed the program of the Disciples of Christ and Community in 2000 and the University Theological Education by Extension in 2006 from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.

Survivors are his daughter, Blair Cooper Parker; son, Phillip Strong Parker Jr. and his wife Mary Catherine; and granddaughters Mary McRaven (18) and Catherine Isabelle (13).

He will be greatly missed.  His ashes will be scattered in the Georgia Mountains to celebrate his life and memory.
