A memorial service for Princess Burns Robertson, of Brookhaven, will be Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with a private burial.

A memorial gathering will be Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Mrs. Robertson, 94, died Tuesday, April 25, 2017, in Brookhaven. She was born in Monroe, Louisiana, on Feb. 7, 1923, to Alonzo Patrick Burns and Inez Sterling Burns Hutto. She was named before anyone knew who she would become. One definition of “princess” is, a woman considered to have the qualities or characteristics of a princess, this is the most perfect definition for this precious lady. Her family was her passion. She was so much more than a wife, mother and grandmother. She was priceless to everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed. She loved traveling, cooking, decorating and gardening. She also enjoyed entertaining friends and family, hosting parties for every occasion. She will be remembered by her laughter and her love for life. Singing was also a joy to her. She was a member of the choirs at First Baptist Church in Brookhaven and in Natchez. Heaven is sounding sweeter since she joined heaven’s choir.

She was preceded in death by her husband, “Happy”, John Benton Robertson Jr.; and her parents.
