Funeral services for Homer Donald King, of Brookhaven, are Thursday, May 11, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burial at the church cemetery. Dr. Garland Boyd and Bro. Ronnie Robinson will officiate the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 11, 2017, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. King, 60, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born Sept. 6, 1956, to Dewey (Nub) King and Idelia Bardwell King. He enjoyed life and family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shelina King; two sisters, Katherine Hall and Yvonne Coon; and his grandchild, (Little) William Ratcliff.

Survivors are his wife of 42 years, Shelia King; son, Kelly King and wife Alajuana; grandchildren, Damion Ratcliff, Clayton Morris, Tristen King, Brie King, Lexi Morris, and Ravin Ratcliff; sisters, JoAnn Hawkins and Donis Foster; and a host of family and friends.
