Funeral services for Danny Wallace Mullins Sr. of Brookhaven will be Monday, May 15, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Brookhaven, with burial in the church cemetery.

Rev. James Hunsucker and Rev. Frank Peters will officiate. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 14, 2017, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Mullins, 70, died Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born Nov. 24, 1946, in Brookhaven, to Leroy and Willie Mae Mullins.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and serving on mission trips to the Appalachians.

His greatest joy was serving the Lord. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Danny Mullins Jr.; daughter, Michelle Mullins; and great-grandaughter, Skyla Jordan.

Survivors are his wife of 13 years, Valerie Mullins; daughters, Deniese Channell, Bethany Bailey and husband Willie, Bessie Knight, and Kimberly Watson and husband Cody; son, Brent Beach; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, two great-great- grandchildren; brothers, Leroy Mullins Jr. and wife Barbara, and Harry Mullins and wife Susan; and a host of family and friends.
