Terrance Fields Jr. of Loyd Star was the only student to represent the Hornets at the boys 2A South State power lifting state championship recently.

In the 242-pound weight class, the sophomore placed third in his class in the overall competition and finished above many talented lifters in the competition.

Fields has accomplished a lot this school year for Loyd Star. He placed second in the boys’ region 2A-4 powerlifting meet and first place in the boys’ 2A South meet.

Fields also plays defensive line on the Loyd Star football team and is looking forward to a new season in 2017.
