Funeral services for Carolyn Castilaw Logan, of Brookhaven, were held Monday, May 15, 2017, at 3 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation was held Monday, May 15, 2017, from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Logan, 67, died Saturday, May 13, 2017. She was born May 18, 1949, to Proby Castilaw and Peggy Bowman Castilaw.  She worked at Mississippi Employment Securities Commission serving in the claims department. She also was a member of First Baptist Church of Brookhaven.

Preceding her in death was her mother, Peggy B. Castilaw and sister, Laurie Burnett.

Survivors are her husband, Marvin O. “Butch” Logan; father, Proby Castilaw; son, Jason Hedgepeth and wife Misti; daughters, Mindy Hedgepeth Smith and husband Vince and Mallory Schneider and husband Kyle; two sisters, Angie Spencer and husband Bruce and Iris Waldrop and husband Doyle; five grandchildren, Micah Powell, Caroline Hedgepeth, Lily Smith, Owen Smith and Wyatt Smith along with one “grand dog” Taco Schneider.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Hospice Ministries, 397 Brookhaven Street, Brookhaven MS 39601 or Pink Sisters, 1594 Monticello Street, Brookhaven, MS 39601.
