Entergy, local agencies to hold low-income fair for Lincoln County, 6 other counties

Entergy Mississippi, Inc. and 15 to 20 low-income advocacy agencies will sponsor a low-income fair to help eligible residents in seven southwest Mississippi counties. These counties are Lincoln, Lawrence, Franklin, Pike, Walthall, Wilkinson and Amite.

Low-income residents are encouraged to come out and inquire about energy assistance, weatherization and other benefits. Some agencies will also accept energy assistance pre-applications at the fair.

The fair will be Tuesday, June 20, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Old Summit Skating Rink, 5149 Hwy. 98W, Summit.

Some of the agencies involved will be Southwest Mississippi Opportunity; the Salvation Army; Mississippi Lifeline; St. Andrews Mission; Southwest Mississippi Planning and Development; U.S. Department of Agriculture; Division of Medicaid; South Central Community Action Agency; Women in Need of God’s Shelter; Mississippi Department of Human Services; Mississippi Regional Housing Authority 7; Mississippi Employment Commission; and Living Independence for Everyone of Mississippi.
