Funeral services for Hubert R. Lea, of New Hebron, are Saturday, June 10, 2017, at 10 a.m. at New Hebron Baptist Church with New Hebron Cemetery. Rev. David Wilkinson and Rev. Mike Grinn will officiate the services. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be today, June 9, 2017, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Saturday, June 10, 2017, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Lea, 86, died Thursday, June 8, 2017, at his residence in New Hebron surrounded by his family. He was retired from the US Navy and Air Force having served with distinction in both Korea and Vietnam. He owned the Western Auto franchise in New Hebron for 40 years and was a member of New Hebron Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Helen Lea; two daughters, Lisa Lea Morris (Don), of Jackson, Tennessee, and Betty Lea Turnage (Wayne), of New Hebron; one sister, Jimmie Lea Fortenberry, of Columbia; and seven grandchildren, Hayden and Hannah Howell, Jesse and Joseph Turnage, of New Hebron, Wilson Morris (Lauren) of Petersburg, Virginia, Kaitlyn Morris Hawkersmith (Justin), of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Mary Morris, of Jackson, Tennessee.
