Funeral services for George Arthur Grantham, of Hazlehurst, are today, June 17, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Hazlehurst.

Visitation was held Friday, June 16, 2017, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Grantham, 18, died Wednesday, June 14, 2017. He was born Dec. 28, 1998. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Volunteer Fire Dept. He was a Christian and a member of New Providence Baptist Church. He enjoyed mud riding, horseback riding, hunting, fishing and hanging out with family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his father, Jackie “Jock” Grantham; and grandparents.

Survivors are his mother, Julie Marie Grantham; sisters, Sylvia Stegall and husband Alan and Olivia Grantham; grandmother, Mildred Maher, special friend Hailey Malone and a host of family and friends.
