Funeral services for Jackie Carl Armstrong, of Hazlehurst, are today, June 20, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Stringer Family Chapel in Hazlehurst with burial at Sardis Cemetery. 

Visitation will be today, June 20, 2017, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Armstrong, 57, died Saturday, June 17, 2017, at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Hazlehurst except when he worked on various jobs out of state. He had moved to Brandon to be cared for by his sister.

He worked as a maintenance supervisor, a machinist and a carpenter.  He loved to fish. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Brown and Lillian Thames Armstrong; and a brother, Johnny Armstrong.

Survivors are his brother, Benson Brown Armstrong, of Hazlehurst; sisters, Nell Noble (Wayne), of Vicksburg, Jeannie May (Robert), of Brandon, Margie May Lassetter, of Clinton, and Vickie White, (Mike) of Wesson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
