Funeral services for Joe Frost, of Bude, are Friday, June 23, 2017, at Bude Baptist Church at 10 a.m. with burial at Williamsburg United Methodist Church Cemetery in Williamsburg. Franklin Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be today, June 22, 2017, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Frost, 88, died Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born Aug. 27, 1928, in Williamsburg, to E. E. and I. D. Frost. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and a member of the 349th Infantry Reg. 88th Division Blue Devils. He was one of the few survivors of the Massacre Valley Battle during the Korean War.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one infant son; brothers, Franklin Frost and Horace Kay Frost; sister, Katie Morris and husband Perry; and grandson, John Connor Waycaster.
Survivors are his wife, Gloria Frost; daughters, Angela Reid and husband Colin, of Madisonville, Louisiana, Anita Case and husband Bob, of Brookhaven, and JoAnn Allred Waycaster and husband Todd, of Natchez; sister, Jaqueline Frost Tisdale and husband Jim, of Starkville; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
