Funeral services for Chaplain Lt. Col. George Kenneth Crosby Sr., of Moselle, are Friday, July 7, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial to follow at a later date in the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. A local memorial service will be held at Bahalia Chapel in Sontag following the funeral. Chaplain Julian Davis will officiate the services.

Visitation will be Friday, July 7, 2017, from 11 a.m. until time of services at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive).

Mr. Crosby, 85, died Sunday, July 2, 2017, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born Nov. 25, 1931, in Sontag, to George Louis Crosby and Jessie Harrison Crosby Case. He enjoyed farming and gardening, and was a loving father, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; stepfather, Ras Case; son, David Neal Crosby; brother, Dennis Earl Case; and brother-in-law, Luther Garrett.

Survivors are his son, George Kenneth Crosby Jr. and wife Theresa, of Sontag; daughter, Terri Crosby Pogue and husband Tony, of Moselle; grandchildren, Kenny Crosby, Alexis Crosby, Cayla Crosby, Matthew Crosby, Micah Pogue, Jesse Pogue, Jerah Pogue and Rayah Pogue; great-grandchildren, Annalise Crosby, and Jacob Crosby; and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. Crosby’s name may be made to the Baptist Children’s Village or the Gideons International
