Funeral services for Lauri Alison Boutwell Mathis, of Wesson, are today, Aug. 1, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Beauregard United Methodist Church with burial at Beauregard Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.

Visitation was held Monday, July 31, 2017, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mathis, 49, died Saturday, July 29, 2017, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.  She was a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College and University of Southern Mississippi.  She was a registered nurse at Copiah County Medical Center where she served as nursing administrator.  She was a member of Beauregard United Methodist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, George D. Boutwell Sr. and Myrtis D. Boutwell; and maternal grandparents, Kelly K. Lusk and Bamma W. Lusk.

Survivors are her husband, Christopher Michael Mathis; daughter, Katherine Blair Mathis; father, William E. Boutwell; mother, Bettye L. Boutwell; and brother, Kelly Boutwell (Jessica).

Memorials may be made to Children’s Fund for Beauregard United Methodist Church.
