Lynn Sandifer Sharp and Jake Cook announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Kayla Renee Cook, of Wesson, to William Graham Carter, of Brookhaven.
He is the son of Kimberly Hutcherson Carter and Jamie Carter.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Gary and Grace Sandifer, Keith Cook and the late Faye Cook.
Miss Cook is a 2013 graduate of Wesson Attendance Center and a 2015 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College, with an associate degree in business. She is employed as a florist at Bertha’s Flower Shop.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Paul and Myrtle Cartwright, and the late Bill “Dinky” Hutcherson, Debbie Carter and the late Dan Carter.
Mr. Carter is a 2014 graduate of Brookhaven High School and a 2017 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College with a degree in nursing. He is employed as a registered nurse at King’s Daughters Medical Center.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at 6 p.m., at Ole Towne Church in Brookhaven. A reception and dancing will follow.
Family and friends of the couple are invited to attend.
