Brookhaven police said a teenager who had been missing since Wednesday returned home this afternoon.

Shayunna Shanelle Scott was last seen Wednesday night, walking from Ole Brook Road to her home on Chickasaw Street, said investigator Penny Banks with the Brookhaven Police Department.

Her mother, Slynthia Dixon, said the 16-year-old did not have her medication with her for a health issue and also did not have a cell phone.

Banks said Scott returned home Monday afternoon after reports of her disappearance were published.
