Funeral services for Henry Peavey, of Jayess, are Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Topisaw Baptist Church with burial at Topeka Baptist Church Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, from 1 p.m. until time of service at Topisaw.

Mr. Peavey, 78, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at his residence. He was born Dec. 31, 1938, to the late Javous Peavey and Nonnie Mae Peavey. He enjoyed being involved in the community. He was a Mason, 32nd degree Shriner, and Beta Club sponsor. He was an avid outdoorsman and he liked to collect antiques. He will be missed by all who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Ruby Lee Thibodeaux.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Kathryn Peavey; sons, Rev. Kenny W. Peavey and wife, Wanda, and Tony E. Peavey and wife, Patti; five grandchildren, Dr. Javous Peavey, Zachary Peavey, Jay Peavey, Ashley Boyd, Alexa Peavey; two great- grandchildren, Connor Peavey and Bennett Peavey; niece, Mrs. Judy Beard and nephew, Willie Holland.
