Funeral services for Virgie Mae Scott, of Franklin County, are Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with burial at Byrd’s Chapel Church of God Cemetery in Meadville. Rev. Lance Moak and Rev. Trent Moak will officiate the services. Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be today, Jan. 10, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and will continue Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Scott, 65, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson with her loving family by her side. She was born Nov. 11, 1952, in Calhoun, to Gerald White and Emma Souel White.

Preceding her in death were her parents; infant daugter, Garlena Buitt; brother, Edward White; and sisters, Katherine Brewer and Marveline Miles.

Survivors are her husband of 27 years, Glen Scott; daughter, Patty Flemings (Joseph); son, Glen R. Scott; brothers, Wayne Holland (Betty) and John Holland; sisters, Iva Pearl Jones (David), Brenda White (Bobby), Kathy Buitt (Sylvester), and Martha Holland (Tommy); two grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
