Brookhaven police are seeking the identities of two men who allegedly robbed a couple at gunpoint Tuesday night.
Investigator Penny Banks said the incident is reported to have occurred between 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. near Turnbough Avenue in a parking lot used by several businesses.
Banks said a waitress at Magnolia Blues said she couldn’t get her car to start when she was ready to leave so her boyfriend came to help her get it jumpstarted “and a couple of guys came up and wanted all their money, whatever they had.”
The couple told police they gave the pair their money and the gunmen left, Banks said. No one was injured.
The case remains under investigation by BPD.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Brookhaven Police Department at 601-833-2424 or CrimeStoppers at 601-823-0150. Tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
