Eldred Edwin ‘Ed’ Osborne

Funeral services for Eldred Edwin “Ed” Osborne, of Union Church, are Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Union Church Baptist Church in Brookhaven. Harrigill Funeral Home in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, from 4 until 10 p.m. at the church and will continue Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, from 9 a.m. until time of funeral services at the church.

Mr. Osborne, 74, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2018. He was a native of Jefferson County, and a former resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

He proudly served his country in the Marine Reserves during the Vietnam War.  He retired from DSM Copolymer.  After retirement he returned to Jefferson County,where he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. 

His children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews brought him many years of happiness.  He will be greatly missed by all. 

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Wanda; parents, Herman L. and Emma H. Osborne; and brothers Bishop “Pete” Osborne and Gary Osborne. 

Survivors are his children; Eva O. Pierce and husband Tommy, LaResa O. Teekel and husband Larry, Clint Osborne, Christina P. Teekel and husband Rodney, grandchildren, Thomas “TJ” Pierce and wife Christa, Eva Collette Pierce, Cody Teekel and wife Christina, Bishop Teekel, Garrett Osborne, Luke Osborne, Nick Rains, Matthew Teekel, Andrew Teekel, and Abbagayle Teekel; and great-grandchildren, Levi Pierce, Emma Pierce, Addie Teekel and Gunner Teekel. 

Pallbearers will be TJ Pierce, Cody Teekel, Bishop Teekel, Garrett Osborne, Luke Osborne, Nick Rains, Matthew Teekel, Andrew Teekel and Tyler Melancon. 

Honorary pallbearers will be William “Billy” King and Joe Cone.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Union Church Cemetery Fund.  Donations can be mailed to Mike McCormick 13074 Hwy 28, Union Church, MS 39668.
