Car strikes building at Hwy. 51, Union Street in Brookhaven
No one was injured when a car crashed into a building at the corner of Union Street and Hwy. 51 Thursday night. The car hit the front of the building, causing damage to the car and the property, said Capt. Clint Earls with the Brookhaven Police Department. The accident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. Earls said the accident was not alcohol related, but remains under investigation by BPD. The owner of the building, which is between Cracker Barrel BBQ and Pike National Bank, was notified, he said.
