Funeral services for Daisy Mae “Mama Mae” Fairman, of Bogue Chitto, are Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at 1 p.m. at New Zion Union M.B. Church in Bogue Chitto with burial at New Zion-Norfield Cemetery. Williams Mortuary in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Fairman , 82, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at her residence. She was born Sept. 4, 1935, to Rev. Charlie Bates and Golda Brown Bates. She attended Lincoln County Training School and she retired from Packard Electric. She was a member of Norfield Bethel M.B. Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnson Fairman; son, Earl Dillon Jr.; brothers Leroy, C.B., James, Charles, Jonas and Charlie Bates.

Survivors are her three daughters, Myrtle Tate, of Jackson, Barbara Buie, of Bogue Chitto, and Linda Primous, of Bogue Chitto; four sons, Rickey Dillon, of Bogue Chitto, Shon Blackwell, of Brookhaven, James Dillon, of McComb, and Fredrick Dillon, of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Gwendolyn Buie, of Byram; 27 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
