Thomas and Amy Greer, of Centreville, announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Madelen Renee Greer, to Cody Monroe Brister, of Bogue Chitto.

He is the son of Terry and Leah Brister of Bogue Chitto.

The bride-elect is granddaughter of Mary Lee Bell, the late Frank Ellis Bell Jr., and John and Ann Greer of Centreville.

Miss Greer is a graduate of Centreville Academy and Mississippi State University, with a bachelor’s degree of business administration in management and marketing. She was a member of Delta Gamma sorority at MSU. 

The prospective groom is the grandson of Gerald and Betty Wheat of Brandon, Reveland Wheat of Brandon, Betty Brister of McComb, and the late L.V. Brister.

Mr. Brister is a graduate of Enterprise Attendance Center and Mississippi State University, with a bachelor’s degree in natural resources and environmental conservation with a concentration in natural resources law and administration.

He is employed as a marketing and technical specialist at Forestry Suppliers in Jackson.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 5 p.m. at The Hideaway in Brookhaven in a ceremony performed by Dr. Dennis Johnsey. Following their marriage, the couple will make their home in Bogue Chitto.

All friends and family are invited to attend the wedding and reception.
