The Monticello Fire Department responded to a medical call at 11:52 a.m. Thursday on Jefferson Street. They also responded to a smoke scare at 2:19 p.m. Thursday on Barn Circle.

Copiah County reports

The Wesson Volunteer Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire without injuries Thursday on Tyson Road.

Highway Patrol report

Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M responded to an accident involving two vehicles at 12:38 p.m. Thursday on I-55 near mile marker 26. Injuries were reported. They also responded to a single vehicle accident without injuries at 3:44 p.m. Thursday on I-55 near mile marker 43.

KDMC Ambulance report

King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service reported 16 calls Thursday. Five were transfers, with four to Jackson and one in the city. There were 11 emergency calls; seven medical, with three in the city and four in the county; three traumas, with two in the city and one in the county; and one MVAs in the county.
