Close victory for Co-Lin Lady Wolves — Second half of double header is redemptive

It was a pitching duel for most of game two on Wednesday, but an RBI single from Harmoni Ashley and a hit batter, proved enough for a 2-1 Co-Lin victory.

The contest was scoreless for the first five and a half frames, until a leadoff walk, an error, and a hit by pitch loaded the bases for the Lady Wolves. Ashley drove in Julie Scheurmann with a ground ball to left, and Alexsundria Thomas was hit with the bases loaded to give the Lady Wolves a 2-0 lead.

Gulf Coast cut the lead in half in the top of the seventh with a solo homer, but the score was not enough as Mackenzie Gros forced back-to-back ground balls to secure the 2-1 victory.
