Funeral services for Faye Allen Bein, of Brookhaven, are Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church in Brookhaven with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park. Rev. Dale Linton will officiate at the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 17, 2018, from 9 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Mrs. Bein, 90, died Friday, March 9, 2018, at Bethany House Hospital in Auburn, Alabama. She was born Oct. 6, 1927, in Oklahoma to Clifford Rupert Allen and Mignon Shorter Allen. She was a longtime resident of Brookhaven and she and Ted raised their three boys there. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who prayed for her loved ones daily, and ended every phone call with “God bless you, honey. I’m praying that God’s perfect will is what is accomplished in your life.” Her family was her life.

She celebrated her 90th birthday surrounded by her whole family Oct. 6, 2017, and had an especially wonderful time. This was the last time we were all together. She loved cooking and collecting cookbooks. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, was a president of the Women of the Church, was on the Pastor Search Committee, and she was on the service board of Silver Cross Nursing Home. Vocationally she was a secretary to Mr. Roach, principle of Brookhaven High School; Dr. Jeter, head physician of University Hospital in Jackson; the base commander at Barksdale AFB, in Shreveport, Louisiana; and she worked with the Immigration and Naturalization Service in Houston, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Joseph “Ted” Bein; parents, Clifford and Mignon Allen; and her brother, Lois Allen.

Survivors are Larry Bein and wife Judy, Phil Bein, Kent Bein and wife Dianne; six grandchildren, Hollie, Christy Anne, Christy, Jackson, Lindsey, and Philip; six great-grandchildren, Dalton, Mallory, Morgan, Adrian, Evan and Weston.
