Jimmy Thurl “Yankee” Wonsey, 65, of Sontag, died Friday, April 13, 2018. He was born Dec. 14, 1952, to Charley Thurl Wonsey and Clara Mae Davis Wonsey.

Preceding him in death was his father; and brothers, Harry Dale Wonsey and Lee Roy Wonsey.

Survivors are his wife of 33 years, Jo Ann Case Wonsey; mother; sons, Jimmy R. Wonsey, of Florida, and John King and wife Angela, of Monticello; daughters, Trenity Tokar and husband Thomas, from Dallas, Texas, Patrice Boring and husband Lucas, of Tucson, Arizona, and Tabatha Dozier and husband Shane, of Mississippi; 16 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and friends that are like family, Donald Langley and wife Joy, Debra Hill and husband, Rickey, and Janet Hanshew.
