Graveside service for Travis D. Jordan Jr., of Bogue Chitto, are Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jordan, 74, died Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Countrybrook Living Center. He was born Dec. 19, 1943, to Travis D. Jordan Sr. and Bernice Walker Jordan. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as a staff sergeant of the United States Air Force. He was self-employed as a cabinetmaker and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sondra Beeler Jordan; son, Jon Jordan and wife Mary; daughter, Jessica Herrin and husband Roland; brothers, Kenny Jordan and wife, Betty, and Stanley Jordan and wife, Sandra; sister, Marilyn J. Crum and husband Thomas; five grandchildren, Taylor Griffin, Piper and Reagan Smith, and Garrett and Caroline Jordan; three special aunts, Hilda, Helen and Dot; and sister-in-law, Jo Thomas and husband, Gary.
