Funeral services for Louise Stewart Cato, of Brookhaven, are today, April 20, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation was held Thursday, April 19, 2018, from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cato, 96, died Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at her residence. She was born April 13, 1922, to the late Bennie and Josephine Stewart. She was a homemaker and a member of Fair River Baptist Church. She will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband of 61 years, Horace Cato Jr.; son, Michael Cato; brothers, Charles and Curtis Stewart; son-in-law, Fleet Lofton; and great-grandson, Russ Michael Mangold.

Survivors are her daughters, Martha Lofton, Beverly Watts, and husband, Danny and Lucy Goodson and husband, Tommy; sister, Peggy Smith; five grandchildren, Michelle Mangold, Dana Alexander, Michael Cato Lofton, Reggie Watts, Betsey Louise Smith; seven great-grandchildren, Anna Katelyn Mangold, Matt Alexander, Hannah Hudson, Cole Watts and Kade, Kaylie and Addie Smith; two great-great grandchildren, Lillie Cole and Kakie Hudson; and a host of nieces, nephews and faithful caregivers, Lee Jenkins, Alysha Lyons, Keneshia Cooper, Betty Lyons and Linda May.
