Memorial services for George O. Parker, of Brookhaven, are Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive). Bro. Greg Warnock will officiate the services.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018, from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Parker, 64, died Friday, April 27, 2018, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, with his loving family by his side. He was born April 14, 1954, in Philadelphia, to George W. and Voncile Thomas Parker. He was a member of First Baptist Church Brookhaven. He was a retired business owner/contractor that worked for over 30 years in the construction industry. He enjoyed reading, traveling, music, historical reenactment and simply having a good time.

He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Preceding him in death were his father; and his sister, Judy Samples.

Survivors are his wife of 38 years, Patsy James Parker; son, Ryan Parker and wife Amy, of Los Angeles, California; daughter, Olivia Watts and husband Josh, of Summit; grandchildren, J. Parker and Jackson Watts; brother, David Parker and wife Cindy; sisters, Barbara McRae and husband J. D., and Susan Greene and husband David; and very dear friend, Mary Stubblefield, along with a host of other beloved friends and family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. Parker’s name may be made to Hospice Ministries, 540 Towne Center Drive, Ridgeland, MS 39157, or First Baptist Church of Brookhaven Mission Fund.
