Funeral services for John Murray “JM” Wilkinson Jr., of Brookhaven, are Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 2 p.m at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, May 18, 2018, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Wilkinson, 87, died Monday, May 14, 2018. He was born June 23, 1930, to the late John Murray Wilkinson Sr. and Maybelle Sykes Wilkinson.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Alyne Boling Wilkinson; daughter-in-law, Aleane Wallace Wilkinson; brother, Shelton “Boy” Wilkinson; sisters, Rena Wilkinson Hux, Hazel Wilkinson Thames Brewer, Cora May Wilkinson Williams, Siller Wilkinson Givens Thornhill, Helen Wilkinson Rials, Irene Wilkinson Case and Hettie Wilkinson.

Survivors are his wife, Thelma Delaughter Wilkinson; son, Jackie Wilkinson Sr.; daughter, Sheila Wilkinson Mason and husband Paul; sister, Lexie Wilkinson Covington; four grandchildren, Shane Mason and wife, Ginger, Jackie Wilkinson Jr. and wife Dana, Melissa Wilkinson Patt and husband, James, Nicole “Niki” Wilkinson Love and husband Jody; seven great-grandchildren, Kayla Wilkinson, Kolby Wilkinson, Austin Patt and fiancé Kara Crosby, Mary Ellen Patt, Coleman Love, Natalie Mason and Sarah Mason; also his pet beagle, “Runt.”

Memorials can be made to Autism Awareness or Hospice Compassus.
