Law enforcement officers in two counties are continuing to search for a pair of suspects wanted in a Sunday morning shooting that killed one man and injured seven others.

Jonathan Miller, 26, of Hazlehurst, was shot to death at Tootsie’s Spot on Monticello Street in Hazlehurst around 2:53 a.m. Sunday, Hazlehurst Police Chief Byron Swilley said.

Brookhaven and Hazlehurst police as well as Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for the men, who have Brookhaven addresses.

Dariendejuan “Daquan” Fells, 23, of 512 McCormick Court, and Odarius Black, 21, of 523 South Turner, remained on the run Monday night.

Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing said the pair are considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

The men’s home addresses have been checked as well as the addresses of a few known associates, he said.

“We’ve checked a couple of locations in the county for them but nothing so far,” Rushing said.

Anyone who spots the suspects is asked to immediately call 911 or CrimeStoppers at 601-823-0150. Tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.

“We can coordinate with Hazlehurst if it leads to an arrest and they can get paid by CrimeStoppers,” he said.
