Hasseltine ‘Hazel’ Williams Bounds

Funeral services for Mrs. Hasseltine “Hazel” Williams Bounds, of Brookhaven, will be today, May 29, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation and the receiving of friends will be today, May 29, 2018 from 1 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bounds, 85, died Saturday, May 26, 2018. She was born Feb. 5, 1933 to her parents, Jesse Williams and Jessie White Williams.

Mrs. Bounds was a legal secretary and worked for the civil service in Washington, D.C. then later for an attorney’s office in Brookhaven. She was a faithful, loving wife of 62 years who cherished her family. Hazel enjoyed reading, traveling, and being involved in her church ministries. She was a member of Springhill Pentecostal Church while residing in Brookhaven and First Pentecostal Church of Aberdeen while residing in Aberdeen for the past two years.

Preceding her in death were husband Albert Hollis “Buster” Bounds; parents Jesse Williams and Jessie White Williams; sisters Mary Montgomery and Ruby Katzes; and brothers Wayne Williams, Charles Williams, and James Williams.

She is survived by sons, Currie Bounds and wife, Robin, and Ken Bounds and wife, Gina; five grandchildren, Bethany Kitchens, Benjamin Bounds, Connor Mac Bounds, Andrew Bounds and Brittany Burris; four great-grandchildren, Bella and Brody Kitchens, Jude Burris and Hollis Bounds; and one brother, Shelton Williams.
