Funeral services for Joyce Lowery Raney, of Wesson, are today, May 31, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Sylvarena Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be today, May 31, 2018, from noon until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Raney, 88, died Tuesday, May 29, 2018. She was born March 29, 1930, to Arthur Lee and Margaret Elizabeth Lowery. She lived a life of service and love as a mother and grandmother. She was an active member of Sylvarena Baptist Church.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, J.W. Raney; parents; brothers, Jack Lowery and wife, Margie and Bo Lowery; daughter-in-law, Ravae Raney; and grandson, Aven Paul Raney.

Survivors are her brother, Claude Lowery and wife, Marguerite; son, Bill Raney and wife, Paula, daughters, Betty Joyce Wilson and husband, Mike, Kelcy Raney, and Ginger Raney Kuhn; seven grandchildren, Mike Raney, George Raney and wife, Brandi, Lauren Raney, Rusti Rippy and husband, Chris, Taylor Clopton, Alex Kuhn and Morgan Kuhn; four great-grandchildren, Bailey Raney, Gage Rippy, Braxton Rippy and Wyatt Clopton.
