Funeral services for Roy Davis, of Brookhaven, are Friday, June 8, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Lucien Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County.

Visitation will be today June 7, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and continuing Friday, June 8, 2018, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Davis, 74, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was born April 28, 1944, to Lavon Laird. He was a logger and was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ. He was a friend to many, but a devoted fan to all of his grandchildren, watching them in all of the sports and other activities they participated in. He will be missed by all those who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his mother; stepfather, Hugh Laird; and one sister, Mary Frances Ainsworth.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Davis; sons, Dusty Davis, and Brad Davis and wife Keri; brothers, Charles Davis and wife Janice, James Birdsong, Robert Hugh Laird and wife Charlotte, and Ken Davis; sisters, Vickie Laird, Kathy Pace and Patsy Wilkinson; two grandchildren, Cheyanne Davis and Mason Davis; a host of nieces and nephews; and other loving family members and friends.
